Default wtf part in my car

went to clean that little space u can hold keys in (above the elec window controls on fairmonts etc in an ed and i find a silver box that says "speed control unit 12v" made by hella with big ford logo on it

WAT THE HELL is it ??? lol

Yes Some Series 1 EA Ghia's ive seen at Wreckers have had them mounded under the console and near where the Auto Trans computer is in Series 2 EA's

I discovered one of those when I was fixing my console lid. I knew it was cruise control unit... because after I played with it. My cruise control stopped working.

haha had the same problem :P NOW i know what a speed control unit does...
