Default Rego prices

My father was in paying the rego for his car and bus yeasterday and he was told that every year form this year at the 1st of June or July Rego will go up by $25 every year and this came from the manager of the Vic Roads in Warragul. This sux big time as if were not already paying enought to the vic government with 3rd party and high feul costs. Bracks I don't give u any hope of getting back in power.

NSW rego sucks!!

Rego $237
CTP $447
Pink Slip $28 + more if the car needs any repairs.

Hence the reason my car isn't registered at the moment, need to pull my finger out and get some dosh organised!

In the ACT when you pay rego, the CTP premium is included in the rego.

Breakdown of costs:

Rego fee $199
CTPI premium $385.85
Road rescue fee $16
Road safety contribution $2
=$602.85

But i dont pay it so im happy :

think about it though. if all of australia paid $2 thats $40 million right there. I bet in ACT its bout $1-2million alone as you pay it for every car you have registered

Its $773 here in bris for a V8, and christ paying that 3 times hurts, then insurance....
Just on $5000 a year before a mile is covered.....then theres the other 3 cars, and the trailers....and fuel......lots to spend to drive in QLD.

Dang thats expensive insurance. I got quoted for 2000 Honday Integra Type R in my mums name for full comprehensive for $2900 for a 4 cyl. Was just seeing how much it was worth on insurance but still keen to go through with it lol.

But i spose if you love your cars you got to be prepared for the expense even though its outrageous.
