defiantly looks like part of ur cat, i would drop at the cat and check it, it can cause a large restriction if its no good and might be worth either replacing or knocking out

Get one of the Ballistic ones that are being sold off by Spooly for Christmas charity. Well worth it, and the highest flow ones available, and also cheap as chips.

Go and put fuel in your car ya bstard :P :P ... Nah nah sounds a bit dodgy hey man.! When mine blew around July last year, it sounded like a bloody truck comming down the road. With the exhaust system it was loud enough as it was but when the cat blew EVERYBODY would turn and look like wtf. lol ... Got a new one for $50 from Everlast Mufflers.

ballistic 100cpsi racing cat! honestly they are one of the cheaper aftermarket units and arguably the best quality for construction and performance

that's crap whoever told you that. i have a magnaflow ceramic cat on mine and it has been on gas for at least 12 months now and it hasn't blown out yet. a ballistic one will be fine

i was told that all the newer cars run metal core cats, by my exhaust guy, mine eventually is going to cost me 300, new metal core cat, (highflow) fitted, new flanges and new pipe made up

which is a pretty good price to pay, wont get that done untill i get the set of the stainless extractors from my wreckers

I'm with bodes here. My Barge has been on gas for the last 4 years, with the standard factory cat still there.

Mind you one of them thar 'MEDAL' ones sound neat...do they melt down old war medals to make them?

Try this....
http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/fragview/inforce/act+156+1997+ch.5-pt.5.8-div.2-sec.157+0+N?autoquery=(Content%3D((%22what%22%20AN D%20%22is%22%20AND%20%22a%22%20AND%20%22penalty%22 %20AND%20%22unit%22)))%20AND%20((Type%3D%22act%22% 20AND%20Repealed%3D%22N%22)%20OR%20(Type%3D%22subo rdleg%22%20AND%20Repealed%3D%22N%22))&dq=Document% 20Types%3D%22Acts,%20Regs%22,%20All%20Words%3D%22w hat%20is%20a%20penalty%20unit%22,%20Search%20In%3D %22Text%22&fullquery=(((%22what%22%20AND%20%22is%2 2%20AND%20%22a%22%20AND%20%22penalty%22%20AND%20%2 2unit%22)))&tocnav=y

Hmm, the link is a bit big, but what it says is....
