Hey guys my 5 speed AU2 XR6 is leaking water from the firewall and onto the brake pedal...
Has anyone else had this problem and can you give me some tips on how to fix it? Its coming from above a bracket that is spot welded to the right of the pedal box, the bracket holds some wiring with an orange plug, see the pics... you can see the water dripping off the loom in this pic below: Also what is up with my pedals, are everyone elses bent like mine? the pedal box seems very flimsy... the clutch pedal is alot higher than my brake pedal too, should I try and adjust this out? |

perhaps that avatar's not the best idea when asking for help
and lots of people have water in the footwell issues - in fact i think it's covered in the common AU faults sticky thread - otherwise there'd be threads and threads on this. a search might do you some good.

i'd be looking at where the rust is in the third pic, as that is above the black wire harness, looks to dripping from there to the wires below

that thread is 18 pages long, and I have done a search, seems most people's leak is from where the clutch cable enters the firewall, and there is a well documented fix for it (weld the crack and then reinforce) mine is not coming from there though, mine is coming from the far right hand side of the firewall, it seems under the brake booster |
