I have now changed the master cylinder and the booster with the used unit from Ebay. It took a couple of days to settle down but over all the problem still remains. The mechanic is now thinking along the lines that maybe because its LPG it has something to do with a valve or something that supposed to prevent damage to the vacuum system in the event of a backfire. Does anyone know what he might be talking about?

WRONG!

Now, back to the real topic, my bet is on the calliper slides. I had a hole in my left front rubber dust cover on the slide, and the brakes were crap. Took the callipers apart, cleaned them all up, replaced the leaky rubber bit and so far so good.
AU3 onwards had ABS standard. My AUII had ABS optioned when new.
