With the standard 4-inch Ford bore, the factory poppet valve covers only 15.8 percent of the total bore area, while the rotary valve is measured at 20.5 percent.
I think BMW also have a similar camless technology.

I think BMW also have a similar camless technology.
Interesting reading, that concept has been around for ages too but i wont hold my breath waiting for it to become mainstream technology.
Durability and cost efectiveness would limit its production worth.
When we see this technology in F1 you'll know the car manufacturers are looking at it seriously.

As long as where all content and don't drive one of those strut tower flexing rear tyre munching dunnydoors I'm happy. God damn I wish I knew how to operate this blasted thig Ive got great pics of our au fairlane sportsman in meteorite with xr8 springs and tickford sunroof, and my venom build 13 te with sunroof bigger brakes and 18 iunch azzuro's.

Mine gets pretty similar Alex, although there are a few freeway/highway trips which keep the lt/100 down

Average around 450-500km a tank

what has this to do with anything at all?? If you must know , I am about the same as FPVGT but I will point something out - my car goes a hell of a lot faster than a T2 and that doesn't come without a premium .. and that is fuel consumption. If fuel consumption is a concern, buy yourself a Hyundai Getz.

No need to arc up so you have seven tenths over me at each of the vital increments I can live with that. Premium is 1.27 if you haven't realised, I put in $40 today for only 30 litres! wait until they shed some meat off the pig in later incarnations of the BA then she 'll get up and boooogy. cousins xr6 turbo auto probably 1/2 a second quicker little disappointed after he tried to show off very slow off the mark. Increased levels of road insulation and more complient ride is the only thing I noticed in the BA.

I am not fibbing mate it's what i get out of my BA GT.I have a few mods so this might help it out.The most i have ever seen mine is at around 16-17L/100 on my computer display.

Hey man I've read harsher things then what I've wrote and you know what they say if you can't take the heat in the kitchen get out because everyone eluded my economy, reliability issues that Ive brought up. It's just how big is my dick talk thats the only response I get.
I hope she stands up mate because as you probably now by know I'm a pesimist because of past experiences with overally sophisticared machinery. Don't take my views to heart.

I dont have to get out of the kitchen. As for harsher things, the BA/T3 discussions gets special attention because of its extream flaming history.

When I got the XR8 I made a conscious decision that meant that fuel consumption is not a primary concern. My Sprint was heaps more economical than the BA but got comprehensivley flogged by it. The wheezer is a nioce engine but it's time has been and gone, just like the legendary Cleveland.
I am well aware of what Ultimate costs, 70 bucks to fill it on friday ( it was very near completely empty ) and I wasn't happy but I don't drink or smoke so it's my vice. Again, if I wanted economy, I would buy a Getz
My BA boogeys quite well thanks, look in the timeslips section and you will see my time.

None of this recent talk is helping GTENVY out.

Both cars are great and thay feel very different when you drive them.
Some love the Gt some the T-Series, leave it at that.

I had the choice between these two cars and I chose the T-Series beacuse I prefer the feel of it over the GT, doesn't mean there is something wrong with the GT, I just prefer the feel of the T-Series and I wasn't going to buy the GT just because it's a GT. Its only a name and I don't care what its called, be it XR8 or GTHO I will buy the CAR that feels better to ME not a NAME.

I drove a BA MK2 GT when i was purchasing my current AU3 XR6 VCT ST, and I must say the V8 is a very nice engine to feel pulsing away under the peddle. If only I could drive a TE50... would they handle much differently to an AU3?

P.S Anyone wanna sell me a cheap turbo?

I think the T3 TE50 and the AU3 XR have the same suspension setup, so it would feel the same, as far as handling goes.

Your right they are both the same but I think due to the increased weight over the front end either changed the ratio of the pinon/rack or pump pressure is up or a bit of both because their not as sharp. On road adhesion is probably better or on par. Mine seems slightly over steery?

BA XR8 Auto (leave ma alone jeff)

consistent 12 sec car

16-17 at the pump, even with 4.1 diff gears.

It gets driven the way a V8 should.

As for the original question, which to get.. drive both and see is the best answer that anyone could give. You can read 1,000,000 pages about said vehicle, and then when you drive it, everything that you read in those 1,000,000 pages could quite possibly mean sweet f*** all compared to the experience.
