Default Throttle Pedal Wont Come Back Up

HI mates,

Well my problem started this morning on my way to work. The throttle pedal got stuck. Then i pop the hood and rev the car and move the spring around then it was ok. But the problem is the throttle pedal is relising slowly and it revs like hell. SO should i change the whole cable or just the spring or thats not whats wrong with it.

sounds like the throttle cable's freying inside the sheathing, and sticking inside.
not really much you can do to fix the cable other than replace it.

do CFI cars not have a return spring on the throttle pedal? My car seems to be missing one as i've still got the CFI pedal...
