G'day Mik and all...Now for a SLIGHT change of pace. Make yourself a coffee or maybe something stronger , sit back and enjoy this classic video.
It's right back at the start of the Mighty Falcon..more than half a century ago. All this goes in six days from now..This is really what we lose.. truly worth 23 minutes of your time I think to reflect on....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-q45n19XLM Cheers Rod.. |

G'day Mik ,98TLS and all...I'm a YT junkie I'm afraid , no prizes for guessing what my favourite target is..Blue Oval stuff hint hint....
Those men and women featured in the 1960 Ford Australia short film would all be long gone now and I can't help but think that they'd be as devastated as anyone if only they knew that their grandchildren would be around when the last locally produced Fords rolled off those same assembly lines. Also they'd be incredibly proud too that the Falcon name plate lasted 56 years after that film was made.. Glad you enjoyed the clip and the amazing video of 100 genuine Falcon GT's all at the same place at the Ford Proving Grounds , ironically probably where the other video was done in part too. Not to sure though on that without checking..Does anyone know if Ford had proving ground facility that early in the 1960's..? Cheers Rod.. |

Awesome stuff Rod, thanks for sharing the vid!
If I had a choice of only one to take home, that Lime green XA GT Coupe would be mine... Love it! Cheers, Kraig

G'day Tassie f100, yakcam and all...I'd be like a rabbit in the headlights trying to pick my favourite in that lot..Ain't they stunning...They can keep their Mustangs just yet...there's nothin' like a Falcon GT.. By the way on the GT mob that made this video..This is one of a few they've posted over time..They do a pretty good job of them.
Thanks for the info on You Yangs..XP testing suggests it was a long term thing way back..Cheers Rod.. |

G'day all , Sorry to inundate you with vids , (it's a disease) but here's another one of the GT Club I found on YT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7cR7ciYC6o from the Nationals last year...and another from the Proving Grounds run as they enter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjGVjahiVC4 filmed by someone else..The sound is amazing..The beat of a Ford V8 can't be beat...Cheers Rod..

Have attended the GAFD many times, brilliant event for all Ford fans, got Allan Moffats signature on my XY air cleaner in 04, also remember seeing that K code 500 XY before it go restored, pretty rare car. Attended this year and would have to say was the best one yet.
