Motors In And It Sounded Good But When I Drove It It Was Like There Was A Lack Of Power And It Would Not Rev Out And Stay In Gear.then Another Time It Took Of From The Lights Okay And Went Up The Hill At The Speed Limit Fine And Changed Gears Fine.pulled Up At The Next Set Of Lights And It Struggled To Take Of Like It Didnt Wont To Accelerate And Took Forever To Change Gears.any Ideas? When In N It Revs Fine.would This Have Anything To Do With The Torque Converter As We Did Change It Even Though It Came Of A Working Car.

Where the auto or other associated elements detect a fault or a problem with the system (usually electrical) and it automatically locks the box in 3rd gear. So from a standstill it will start in 3rd and it depends on the fault or problem if it will shift into 4th or not. Usually s4 solenoid is a common problem in the BTR box... * *its 11:45 and I’m dribbling $hit on the forum, information subject to being wrong.

See if your sensor on the firewall is connected (MAF or MAP)

Yes that is the MAP sensor.
Being an EF motor im guessing you have used the EF intake manafold, or have you put the EA intake manafold onto the EF motor. If you are using the EF manafold and have converted to MPFI, you need to (1) change your fuel pump to an MPFI item (2) rig up a kickdown cable for the 3speed trans. If you are still using the CFI manafold, makesure the kickdown is adjusted properly |
