I've fitted out my car and a coulpe of friend's cars with audio gear so I have a fair grasp on it, however tomorrow night I'm going to be installing a new Pioneer DEH7750 head unit and spilts into my brothers EF Ghia and I have a couple of questions...
I would like to hear from people who have removed the double DIN sized ghia radio because I am unsure as to how to fill the gap and make it look professional. If anyone has used one of those pockets to fill the gap I'd appreciate it alot if you could be so kind as to post a pic so I can get an idea of how well they turn out before going down that road. I was going to pick up a single DIN pocket to take up the gap but after having a look around the car another other idea popped into my head.. Such as instead of the using an after market tacky looking pocket, I'd go to the wreckers and pick up a Stereo surround from an EF/EL futura or Gli...Problem is I don't know if any other models beside the ghia came out in that brown/Tan colour interier? Because I haven't seen any except in the Ghia's and I'd like to get a tanned one to match. Sorry if this doesn't make sense & for any typo's, Im extreamly tired. |

EF/EL Fairmonts came stock with a single-DIN stereo as well, the double-DIN was an option. I've also seen a few EL GLi's in cappachino, so you should find one if you keep looking around for them.
