Default near miss Hervey Bay

I hate morons, going from Maryborough QLD into Hervey Bay today this ****er went to overtake a caravan on a bend ducked out twice realising he could not see then while im looking at a nice dark coloured FPV Falcon sedan, coming the other way he decides to have a third go ,i backed off the van swerved to left and the guy in the nice Falcon swerved to the gravel shoulder and all missed this Holden VT Clubsport by inches, scared the sheet outa me as i could see the Ford spinning into me if they connected, dont know if the guy in the Hot Ford is on this forum but i think he;s glad to have great brakes.I caught up with the VT crumblydore and he had kids in back and wife who did not look happy while my mate gave him a mouthfull.ive seen some close ones over the years but if the Falcon did not swerve we all would have been splattered down the Hi-way. Falcon looked like one of those new FPV cars but it happened too quick for me to be sure .

Amazing how many people are stupid enough to overtake n a bend. Too bad when they do wipe themselves out they take others with them.

reminds me of a thing that spooked me. OR "the things you see"
For all in geelong will know the barwon heads rd.. just your basic 2 lane road some nice straight sections

Driving behind some car. notice in rear view car approaching at rapid pace. he goes to over take me and the car in front of me.

no problems so far.

UNTIL

either his mate or someone chasing him goes to overtake him
so basically we have original car in front of me, one dude, over taking it, and now another dude over taking the overtaking car.

literally he was 1/2 in the dirt on the wrong side of the road.

It happened real quick, by the time I had realized, I was braking, thinking this is going to be bad.

in the end. all worked out, but the margin for error was very high for all concerned, I got mad and did the chase thing, but was to late both had bolted

Id say great driving (lucky more like), but at the time, was not so impressed.

as for close calls. Driving back from QLD, raining heavly, in a 4 cyl car, stuck behind caravan doing 90k, cars behind me, cant see anything as rain is pouring off caravan, and pull out to have a look, cant see sh1t, dude behind me, goes round (bigger car). I hope he makes it, i even brake to make a gap for him if something goes pear shaped, then maybe 5-10 seconds later, truck comes the other way, so I'd have to say that would have been close for him, and deadly for me.

dangerous and stupid and one day he'll get caught and see that the extra seconds/minutes isnt worth it.
