Unhappy Bent Clutch Bracket

Was Driving home from work today and noticed i didnt have much clutch left, friction point is millimetres from the floor. I got home and had a look and it seems the bracket where the pedal pivots has bent. It doesn't seem to want to bend back because the cables are pulling it, so now i gotta squeeze in there and try and fix it! : has anyone done this before? any tips would be appreciated i'm assuming the bracket will need to be re-welded...

Thanks in advanced

Chad
