Well... think a few years prior to that, and I'd say my '66 1600 Fairlady..... it's all REAL driving - no power brakes, steering, anything really (some would say that includes the engine ) and it is a driving experience and a hell of a lot of fun.... sure it doesn't get there as quickly as the GT-P but you have sooo much more fun getting there.
The original Mini's are up there - for me it's the Classic not Plastic theory although an Audi RS4 was sensational and has to be up there too.......
