I think the ones that stand out are.
Centura: 1. Exploded the alternator with centrifugal force (those old 6s can rev hard). 2. Ripped the trailing arm rear suspension out of the monocoque. 3. Destroyed all the bits that spin in the gearbox. 4,5,6,7...get the picture. Kawasaki road racer: Conrod let go and punched holes through every plane of the crankcase, included pushing the gearbox up out of the back of the engine and bending the head. When I stopped at the end of the straight and was asked what was up, I reached down into the oil in the fairing and picked out half of a gudgeon pin. |
