Default How lucky am i...

On the way home from my mrs' place, i began to smell a really distinct smell. It smelt like burning oil. I thought it was the car in front of me, so after about 30 seconds, i got out from behind this car.

I could still smell the burning oil

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.......

I thought, it can't be me..

I made it to about 3 mins away from home

My oil light came on

SHITE!

It is me

I had better take it slow the rest of the way!

Got 2 corners away from my house

As i turned the corner, i heard a ticking noise

I thought, must be some ricer car

The ticking noise was following me

SHITE!

I made it down my driveway, ticking noise was pretty damn LOUD!

Called the NRMA, they came out

The switch which regulates the oil pressure had failed!

Oil was absolutely ****ing out through it!

He said my car was about 1 or 2 minutes away from blowing up

So $41 later, my car now has a replacement switch and a good 4L of oil

As Marvin Gaye said... "Lucky, Lucky me"

The NRMA guy was unreal. Diagnosed the problem, then took me to the local repco to get the replacement parts and fitted it all for me. Far beyond what i was expecting!

The switch itself, the cause of the problem was $8.60!
