Default XR5 Sluggish in Hot Weather

Hi Guys

Anyone else find their XR5 a bit sluggish in hot weather?
Today, my outside temp showed 39 degrees (probably about right with reflected heat off the road).
The car just really sluggish - no where near what it normally does.

Understand that the intercooler is having to work harder to try to cool the air and air temp in a turbo has an impact on performance. But that is about as far as my understanding goes.

So anyone else noticed this?
Done anything to improve it?

Edit: fix typo x 2
