Default Ugliest (US) Fairlane of all time?

I don't know what this guy was thinking, but there really is no place for a Roadrunner Wing on a Fairlane... is there?

I thought I would share, because it gave me a good laugh.

eBay Find: A 1968 Ford Fairlane That Comes With a Free Elephant in the RoomBy Brian Lohnes Posted 11/11/11

Drag Illustrated Magazine's Ian Tocher is wholly responsible for this lime green, mega-winged, four door 1968 Fairlane ending up here on the front page. He sent us this eBay ad tip and we could not look away. There is one amazing aspect of this ad that we'll get to in a minute. But first, the car!

Obviously the guy selling this car put a lot of sweat and tears into it. From the custom interior to the retina melting green paint, he describes the car in detail. The seller even goes as far as to take detailed photos and give descriptions of the various paint chips and road rash on the machine.

He tells us all about the 302ci engine, the strangely beefed C4 that packs a "daily driver" torque converter, the interesting louvered aluminum panels he has had made and mounted below the rocker panels, the man gives details about every aspect of the car but mentions not one word about the MASSIVE CHARGER DAYTONA/SUPERBIRD WING MOUNTED ON THE TRUNK. This is like a description of Dolly Pardon with no mention of her massive boobs. We read the ad twenty times to make sure we didn't miss it. Nothing about the wing? Really?

Ditch the drying rack on the trunk, ditch the 'luminum rocker panel things, dumps the stance by two or three inches and we'd roll in it. Either that or build a very nasty FE engine, take the thing to Bonneville and get it going fast enough to use the wing!

Those wings looks awkward enough on the cars they were installed on from the factory, let alone a family sedan from the era.
