The battle between the bosses of Australia's two largest vehicle manufacturers is drawing to a close. Denny Mooney had been predicting earlier this year that more than 1,000,000 new vehicles would be sold locally this year. Tom Gorman has been predicting a figure less than one million.

The local vehicle manufacturers will be down approximately 20,000 vehicles compared to last year with Holden contributing to the bulk of this reduction.
