hi
what is required to register a homebuilt teardrop caravan in sa and does the chassis need engineering and can the chassis be engineered before the timber walls and roof put on. someone said the homebuilt caravans or trailers have to be engineered by a engineer does the chassis have to be engineered with the walls and roof or can just the chassis be engineered before the walls and roof go on. is it possible to just weld a number on the drawbar and say its a old caravan with same owner or unknown owner and/or theres no number plate and needs a new rego number or even moving the number plate over fron a rusted out caravan and just tell them you repaired the chassis to minimize problems getting a homebuilt chassis registered to minimize problems with the gas and 240v can you register it first then get them done if you make up a number for the chassis and say its a old vehicle Last edited by car10002; 15-07-2013 at 10:48 PM. |
