Does anyone know if there is an electronic solenoid or actuator in 2011 Focus 1.6l LW manual gearbox?
Strangely, after going on long drive for about 100kms without shifting gears from topgear, transmission is refusing to shift down. No matter what just won't get into neutral or allow to shift into another gear. Clutch is working fine though. Able to stop with clutch on not stalling the engine. It won't shift down even after stopping. Once engine is turned off it will act normal and continue to behave for another 100kms. After driving for 30kms or so started noticing the shifter not being smooth. Otherwise shifter is as good as new. Car has done around 54000kms and yes the clutch is absolutely fine. It didn't miss a service either. Has anyone had similar issues? Wondering what's the best place/dealer to take it to in Canberra. Any suggestions? Cheers
