Default reset sequence for au fairmont computer

Hello is there any one out there that can tell me the reset sequence to reset the engine management computer, i am having problems with the auto locking into 3 , and also getting other computer controled problems some one said that the computers could be reset but you have to follow a sequence.
any help would be exelent.

Does this really work? It seems far too complicated-a-process to just reset the computer. I thought you'd have to hold down some buttons or something. Has anyone done this and noticed any real improvements?

it works well i've done it on a few cars now. but the problem mentioned here sounds like limp home mode and it won't fix that you need to find whats causing it to go into limp mode just one point to add you need to dissconnect the battery for about 1/2 hour
