Default New Focus in the UK - Spoilt for choice

Hey Gang,

Not only are they spoilt for choice over in Europe and especially the UK with 3 door, 5 door, Sedan AND Wagon, but they get Leather options, all sorts of stereos, bluetooth, billions of alloy wheels.... daaaamn. I want what they have!!! It's simply breathtaking the amount of choice they have, I'd never decide!!!!

Wheels...

Suspension (FACTORY EIBACH KIT WITH BLUE COILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
http://www.ford.co.uk/ie/foc_c307/fo...rior_styling/#

ICE (HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!)
http://www.ford.co.uk/ie/foc_c307/fo...audio_mobiles/

Interior (Including a factory sunroof!!!!)
http://www.ford.co.uk/ie/foc_c307/fo...erior_comfort/

I have officially denounced my Australian Citizenship and am moving back to Brussels to buy a 5 door Titanium hatch, 5 sp manual in Titanium Grey with LeEather and HID Headlights, the 10-spoke 18' inch rims and a sunroof, that colour DVD system and of course the FACTORY Eibachs!!!!!

Who said Australia was the lucky country? py:

There wouldn't be the volume here for those kinds of options, we have all that kind of stuff on Falcon for example because it can be factory added here, but remember we don't even get the euro Focus. Not that I'm complaining, nobody here in their right mind would pay that kind of money for a small car anyway when they can get a medium import or a local loaded to the roof with goodies. Remember their Focus is our Falcon. English families drive around in their Foci on weekends...

Lucky buggers...

Also... I think the Ford Focus here couldnt carry that price tag and compete with the likes of VW (the expensive Golf models), Alfa, BMW 1 series etc.

But damn, those options are interesting! Maybe we might see some of those in the future!

Mmmmm I'd sell my left nut for some factory blue Eibachs and a set of factory 18's!!! All they need is a Ford-Racing Catback and a Ford Racing Hi-flow filter and they'd capture every modder in town!!! Brilliant idea!!

Matt,

If you look at it model for model, i think we pay only a under double what it equates to in Pounds. It appears their Zetec is our LX (going by the wheels anyway!) the LX in the UK is the CL Here and CL Smooth pack here is called a LX sport in the UK. (Just going by the wheels and kit)

So anyway, a UK Zetec with very similar kit to a OZ LX is around 15,100 pounds. An Oz Spec is $25,000! So we dont really do too badly out of it all....

Why oh Why cant they bring out the TDCi with that conversion rate? :

Anyway, enough dreaming.....! Just thought i would add that little bit

Cheers
Marty

They've been getting all the good stuff over in the UK for many years now, sadly. Escort Cosworth for example...

Well I have just begun the process of buying a Focus and will trade in the Fiesta. I went into my dealership to get my Fiesta's bodykit repaired under warrentee and there it was.... A silver Zetec Focus (promotional Press car on loan to Southside Ford from Ford Australia) with german NSW plates.
I went up to the dealership to see if they had any ready for sale and one thing led to another next thing you know I am signed up for a test drive and am going in today to check out the press car in detail.
Really disapointed in the fact that we only have the 5 door!!! I saw in Wheels magazine that the three door could be out next year, but Ford is saying that the 5 door is all that will be available. Europeans get it all!
So I will get a Titanium or Black Zetec 5 door with the gear knob and hand break options (that is all there is!).

Jason shop around mate we bought our new CL from Q Ford and they were the cheapest... The hardest part is securing a car in stock or about to come into stock.

Damn those three doors look good! Thus my reason for buying Panther Black, it hides the door lines a bit more. Anyone seen any good pics of a Black Focus Mk2?
I went into my dealership for a good look at the Ford promo Zetec. Couldn't go for a drive but had a really good look at it and climbed inside. Nice! Really like the new 17 inch wheels and that body kit is subtle but does the job! I love my Fiesta but this Focus is really growing on me. I am still waiting to see how much they will give me as a trade in on my Fiesta. I went with all the options on my Fiesta and up-spec'd it to almost a Zetec. I am hoping for at least $16,000 but we'll see (cost me $19,750 off the lot).
Want my Focus now!
Cheers

Jason
