Default Toyota Recall

I can imagine this will hurt toyota's pockets.

I would not of thought a recall for this would be needed.

How is a defective cruise control switch comparable to an issue that could cause your car to ignite???

Fools!

You are kidding aren't you?

I am sure that if you were in an accident, could not get the door open because of vehicle damage or were entrapped by the dash etc, and your seat started burning with you in it, you would wish they had done the recall.

They are talking about the volume of cars involved in the recall, not the severity of the issue.

we got the bullitin at work today. its only around 45,000 cars in australia. if you remember holdens VY power steering hose recall was 135,000 and Fords AU steering rack recall was 220,000! I dont think it will be an expensive recall as the pre-tensioner isnt replaced, the foam insulating pad is removed. not sure how long it takes, we'll see once we start getting some in.
