If you'd have had hung onto cars 2, 3, or 11 you wouldn't have spent so much (though fuel costs would rack up most of the difference!), and you'd still be very happy to this day!

I had one of these at one stage, secondhand it was though. Smelt like cat pis and pot, and had several spent handgun cartridges roll out from under the seats when I first slammed the brakes on! (of some short fat caliber which I did not note).

A little less of a surprise for me as the sale was a bit..

..Shady. I rang a guy and arranged to be in Joondalup (?), then had to contact him again once there so he could tell me where he would be. Pulled up to see the car down a side street, and the guy looked just a bit like he may be a respected member of one of the local motorcycle enthusiasts clubs. He hinted at something along the lines of it not being his in the traditional manner, but that he had reposessed it from the owner who owed him $200.

It was cheap though - and registered, though it had been put off the road. It didn't need much at all to be a runner.

Well appointed at the time, but slow as molasses. When I tell you that I managed to go fast enough in it to do 5 and a half (half, because it came to rest upside down at the end of it's path of destruction) airborne barrel rolls, you know I was really trying.

The roof was almost lower than the headrests after that though, it had a cracked sump, two tyres were debeaded and one of the rims had a serious bend it. Still, we got out, flipped it over, and 'drove' it home!

The list is in the order I acquired the cars, (I can’t accurately remember the dates I brought them) though ownership overlapped with many. Some were purchased new and others secondhand. All were owned for a minium of two years and some were kept for quite a long time. The HX Ute was my first in 1977 at 17 years old and I kept it for 7 years.
