Default Garaging

Gentlemen as I am indulging in one of Mr Toohey's finest at the moment I thought I might try my luck posting this mesage here. ie THE PUB

I do own a Ford Escape 2002 XLT so I fell I am allowed to ask this question.

I am about to retire my Mitsubishi Mirage 98model which has just ticked over 255,000 kms. She has been a Courier vehicle for ths last 2 years.....and she has been worked hard.

I am about to push her into my garage as I can't bring myself to sell her, and I don't think anybody would really want her / nor appreciate her.

What sort of things can I do to her to help her in her mummified state, as I would like to drive her again one day....God only knows when. Bear in mind she is a Mitsi Mirage so I won't be throwing too many dollars at her.
Thanks in advance as always

Loachster.

Pull the plugs and spray some oil in the bores, disconnect and remove battery, put it on bricks so you dont kill the tyres - although they may be aged and need replacing anyway if it sits for to long.

You need to remove the engine through the dashboard vents, then flush the entire car with fish oil. Next is to completely dry all fluids from it, including headlight fluid and brake fluid. Wrap the vehicle in a favourite car cover, then bury it, along with your pets, any other valuables, and your wives in a giant hole. Try ot prevent later thefts by disguising the site as a building site, or vege patch.
