Default BTR/ION 4-speed rebuild for towing

If you had to get one done (BA Falcon wagon 4.0) and upgraded pump etc for reliablility/strength, who does a good job? Every shop says "we're the best" but I know of too many shockers. ACT/NSW preferable but could ship elsewhere if it appears worthwhile.

can't recommend a shop but I will put my 2bobs in.
biggest cooler you can get on it.
warranty, who will give you the best and how easy is it to get it to them.

if you don't go local you pay all labour to remove/refit + freight incase of warranty, if interstate shop give this included get it in writing.
and then the risk of them saying it wasn't installed properly.

just something to check over with shop before you commit.

That's why ACT/NSW best as I can get them to install. Needs AU internals fitted bigger pump with metal gears etc. Surprised no recommendation yet?

What are you towing and how often?

Our old AUII 'Lane was used for towing quite a bit over the years we had it, and the (bog standard) 4 speed was still going strong at 230,000k's when we sold it.

Horse float and 250,000 k's up. Very tired unlike engine. Adding ext trans cooler and synthetic fluid after rebuild.
