Got a quote from Croydon Autos for full Pacemaker system for EF

$1,000 fitted

Thats including Extractors and a high flow cat and system made for a lowered car so it sits closer to the body. :sm_headba

Not a catback, a full setup with extractors will.

Now THIS is fuel economy!!!

Melb to Sydney Trip

Standard exhaust = Full tank and a half of fuel
Pacemakers, Hiflo and 2.5" = One Full Tank!!!

I kid you not. Definately awesome fuel economy.

generally when they do an exhaust for a lower car (more importantly with extractors etc) then they try to get it sitting closer to the underside of the car to avoid scraping.
you'll notice that the cat converters take a beating on lowered cars and sometimes the mufflers, a lot of the time the cat can't be raised (due to flange heights) but the muffler can be tucked up a tad more.

occasionally the section over the diff is a tiny bit different too to avoid it hitting anything there.
its very dependtant on the car, you may get away with it when lowered
just see what happens.

Cat back pricing can vary a lot MAINLY due to the exhaust tip.
its amazing how expensive a good tip costs.

me myself, well i don't mind the fact that my car scrapes on stuff.
i love hearing people go "OOHHHHHHH OUCH" when i drive in a driveway and almost leave my front and rear bars behind
my quality fabrication skills have ensured they're still attached ;)

***Sorry to get off topic***
Ive got a similar setup to Tims new one and his is a great deal louder than mine, tims told me he has no resonator and i do. Would that be the difference considering ive got extractors as well?

Also is it illeagle to not have a resonator ??

Paul

its not illegal to have no res, but issue is it may be too loud to be legal.
you may find that Tim's is still illegaly loud.

if its a 2.25" like mine with only the 1 muffler its legal and noise legal aswell...mine pulls harder down low with it on.....i was told a 2.5 would move the power range higher in the rpm? am i right?
