Default Rear sway bar chassis mount breaking

I have owned a few ea fords, my Ist one the
under carriage sway bar mount support broke
away on the left side rear, it ripped completley
away from the support & left my rear left side
hanging loose banging around i only noticed as
i heard this thud clang from time to time & had
a look to see what the ^^^ was going on.
I pulled the gas tank out & my mate welded
the support back in after a lot of ^^around.
Well now my latest ea has broken away on
the right side & banging around it must be a
design fault i have not bothered to call a
welding place for a qouate & want to ask you
guys if u have had the same problem & will they
need to remove tank or can they weld it with out
removal as i no longer have a friend to weld the
^^^thing up & wonder what u were quoated. :

I've never ever heard of sway bar mounts breaking away from the body. on any e-series, or au for that matter. I have heard of the front mounts stripping the bolts out when using larger sway bars but thats it.

One of my mates mother's had this happen to their EA a while ago, I think tere's been a couple of other instances of it happening on the forums too.

If they have to remove the tank to weld, it's not hard to do, remove the fuel pump and undo the straps holding the tank in.

Well i went and did some searching yesterday afternoon, i found my clunk.
It wasnt the swaybar, which is fine.
Mine was the rear left door, both adjusters where very loose.

Yeah I've got this mysterious clunk in the rear left too... Happens mainly on acceleration when hitting a bump with the rear left wheel... Might be time to have a look at it :
