Asking "the best oil" will end up with 10 different responses and then a debate on why Castrol is the bees knees for some people while someone's engine builder swears by Mobil 1.
Bob is the Oil Guy has a whole forum dedicated to oils. With oil testing to keep you occupied for weeks! But realistically, changing your oil more often is the key to engine longevity. I swapped form shell semi-Synthetic to Nulon 3 years ago purely because I can get a Full Synthetic oil at a price not much more than what I was paying for Shell, and it's Australian Made (but not owned now I don't think). From the seat of my pants, my old Barra doesn't rattle on start up and my fuel economy has improved slightly. Don't forget your other fluids as well.Coolant, Brake Fluid, Transmission, diff and power steering all seem to sometimes be forgotten. But realistically, any of the big brands will do the job. According to Nulons website, the Full Synthetic 10w-40 is the choice for your car.

Speaking of oils I was wondering if someone could help me. apparently I need to replace the oil lines in my AU3 XR8 auto sedan, from the sandwich plate to the cooler.
But i have no idea what size the connections are. Can anyone inform me or put me onto some aftermarket replacements. I live in NZ Thanks in advance. |
