Default EA Ghia cluster into GL

Hey guys

As the CBF factor was high today with fitting the ghia wiring looms, etc I thought id put the ghia cluster into my car as ive sold my spack cluster.

Now Finally everything is working after 4hours of work (stupid "BATTERY (12+) Wire, without it wouldnt power LCD up :gren: )

Only problem im having is with the LCD backlighting. There are 2 wires (positive and negative) that power it. Now If I connect these to the Ignition wiring, the LCD powers up when the car is on, but I cannot ajust the brightness of it as it is way too bright at night.

If I wire the backlight into the Interior Lighting loom, the brightness can be ajusted but will only comeon when the parkers or headlights are on??

anyone got a thought on what to do?

Yeah, you need to wire the lcd illumination into the Ghia BEM and use a ghia headlamp switch. Very easy to wire up... IIRC it is the white/black wire which is the lcd brightness.
Then it will be illuminated normally, and adjustable with the parkers.

theres a fader thing on the intirior light switch which is apart of the headlight switch, and that controls your brightness
