I'm always cynical until I see it sitting on the stand out the front of a new car dealership...
In the last thirty years I've been driving and taking a big interest in cars I've seen way too many pictures and magazine articles showing beautiful, curvy, futuristic, wonderfully aggressive looking concept cars and clay models that later get dumbed down for public consumption to get too excited over a clay model.. |

I was referring to an opinion on the styling of the car but nevermind. I may just reserve my judgement till I see this new one up close, it may just win me over...
I'd still buy one before I bought an imported car even if it was the only choice available, (interesting looks or not) as it would be an Aussie made car. The end. |

Totally agree with you . . The FG2 front is a big step backward as far as i'm concerned. I wonder who will be the first to rip the front bumper/grill etc off an FG2 and fit an FG1 front bumper/grill etc on lol. Mike

A friend parked his FGII G6E next to my G6ET and I have to say the FGII looks better, this was Havana with Cashmere...very nice.

To me, the problem with fg2 is not the large open-mouth grille, but the grille plastics themselves, especially on the xr's. If the hole was filled with, say, a black honeycomb pattern (like fg1), it would be that much more attractive.
Here's hoping the fusion/mondeo large upper grille makes it into the 2014 falcon withOUT the whaleface plastic. |
