Dude sorry to see such a fine example end up like that, i've been unlucky enuf to have been in 2 write offs 1 was a modified EL was rather nice only had 79000ks and the most recent was an EF xr6 (t-boned by a f@#king VL of all cars) so i know hjow it feels, but trust me somethin better always comes your way, i love my new ride more then the other 2 combined
best of luck dude.

Will anyone actually reveal any details of the accident? all it seems to be is a whole lot of skirting around the subject.

with all this skiriting around the subject ect ect
what I can say, from my knowlege and the looks from other crusies iv been on ect EDMonty slowed down for the Dip as his car was low, ect ect, and the EL driver wasnt looking, being a ******** and hooning just from a guess, didnt see ED monty going slow, was prolly traveling at about 60-80km hr looking at that damage looked up, after fixing his fully sik subwoofer and it was too late. Why dont you just tell us the full story, or does it involve illegal activities such as speeding and burnouts? |

Ouch, nasty hit there champ. It's a shame too, looking at the front end of it it looks like a realy tidy and well kept specimen. The rear end damage does look pretty severe, thats definately a high-speed hit, judging by panel damage and obvious chassis warpin i would say roughly 40-60km an hour faster than your car was moving...
Trust me people thats more than enough to give u bit of a shunt.... Good to hear you got check out by the docs, rear enders can really ИИИИ you up (my back is now ИИИИed and gets stuck in certain positions ever since I got rear ended in the ST) Good luck on the recovery mate. Trust me you will be looking in ya rear view mirror for many moons to come :/ *edit* actually my interpretation is. You slowed down, mate didn't, obviously tailgating and/or speeding, has hit above the crossbeam for the boot and has subsequently put 1.6tons worth of weight on the rear end and nicely ИИИИed it, as we can see... you can tell its had weight put on it from above because the actual rear end is bent down, not just caved in. crap eh :/ |

Kudos to you for taking it so well. Yo seem like a glass half full person, rather than half empty.
Even as is, it still looks nicer than my EA wagon. |

You can prove if the guys brakes failed...its pretty hard/rare for that to happen.
But really, who cares what happened. You cannot really tell people to keep their opinions to themselves when u post about a stack on a public forum regardless Let this be a strong reminder that this is exactly the kind of crap JT and the rest of the eseries admin (not to mention FF.AU admin) are trying so very hard to not let happen on a club/forum based cruise. While I can admit I have never been on a fordmods cruise (only a mod day), its pretty safe to say that speed was somehow involved (look at the damage) and that this kind of acco doesnt normally happen on roads where speed limts are being adhered to and where driving standards arent compromised by perhaps the 'show factor' associated with being in a convoy environment EDMONTY glad to hear you are ok and that more damage to yourself wasn't done

mate it was an accident ,there was nothing illegal going on we were not speeding quite the oposite,i cant speak for the guy that hit me tho ,as i said before the last time i saw the guy behind me he was a far few hungred meters away as i has to the next car in front.the guy that hit me was the slowest driving of the day actally as the rest of them had to keep slowing down for him to catch up on the way to lithgow because he was on his p's so thats all i can say. it might not have been brake fail at all ,could have been brake fade or all we know or driver inexperience who knows it was an accident there was NO ILLEGAL activity's at all.
and opinions and facts are to different things mate frost was talking out of his ИИИИ stereotypeing the whole thing. if this thread is gonna turn into a ИИИИИ fight it will be deleted along with the photos thanks for everyones kinds words it means a lot that we have a club with so many nice people in it cheers guys Jarrod :-)
