I think stock wheels aren't appealing to people who are all about looks. On the flip side I think stockers are appealing to people who like to 'use' their cars. To those people they look good because they carry tyres that are expendable most of the time.

stockies rock for many reasons, they look tough, the make ur car feel more comfy cause its soft, they rip up good, they drift good, the rubber is cheap, they make your car look lower.... if you dont like stockies dont put em on your car simple! LOL

A set of 15" mags (like turboblades or snowflakes) can do most of that anyway. Plus they look classier than pug-fugly black taxi wheels. I'm not to sure of stockies making the car look lower though. If I put a set on my car, I bet you it would still look like a 4WD.

black 15 inch stockies when clean and have tyre shine applyed look 10 times better than any snoflakes or turbo blades ever could.

also your not from the northen suburbs so i can understand why you dont get the concept of stockies.

John_LS1 for president!

Bass_Crazy's car would look better with stockies :

I love the "dumped on stockies" look, it just makes the car look so much tougher.

I'll post a picture of my car up later, just cbf right now.

I had a set of Black 15" EL stockies on the front of my ED and AU Black 15" on the rear a while ago. Rear was about 2" lower than the front. Looked like a pro stock car! **** funny. Wish i had a pic to show you guys!

Personally I think that stockies are pox and do nothing for the appeal of a car, I can't understand how someone thinks they would give it a better look.

I'm all for people using them for practical reasons like drag racing and getting better times and so forth, but for every day driving I can't phathm(sp) why you'd do such a thing?

Standard wheels are far more appealing and easy on the eye.

Whoever said that having those stockies - and I meant wheels without hubcaps - makes your car look less inconspicuous is a tad wrong, I think that it would be more so cop bait then even me driving around with my 17" EL GT wheels on it - because mine - knowingly to me and to the police are legal to be on my car.. but if a cop was to see a car with not only not wearing the original rims, but wearing rims that to the every day person are WORSE than the factory wheels, they'd have to wonder why wouldn't they?

And finally, only tough blokes like me have the balls to rip up big tyres, har har All you weaklings with stockies lol... I'm just having a bit of fun, not being serious

Yeap stockies are ghetto.....unless you have had a puncture or something then fair enough.

You could really go all out and put on Territory Steelies! :/

Fathom.

I agree. They're just for cheap E-Series and VB-VT Commo goons who can't afford a nice looking set of rims and decent rubber; so claim that four spare-wheels look cool.
