How the hell is the audi (?) rice and/or fail. Its a well built machine capable of doing a good job on the racetrack, more so then many of the cars that people one this site own.

For those that dont understand the term:
RICE - Racing Influenced, cosmetically enhanced. A car that is made to look fast but goes slow = Rice. A car that is made to look fast, and can four wheel drift whilst pumping out huge amounts of smoke, is not rice. A fail, but not rice.

"RICE" Is actually a 30 year old term that stemmed from Harley owners in the USA. They used to refer to the influx of cheap, fast japanese bikes as "Rice Rockets". US muscle car enthusiast used the same term in a similar manner, when little turbo imports started to become popular. In effect the real meaning referred to any fast japanese car, and was shortened to ricer.
"Racing influenced cosmetic enhancement" is a bacronym used as a lazy way to describe something one dislikes. RICE has been used to describe the standard tail lights on a FG falcon, hence the word just being stupid way to describe something. But OT, that yellow monaro is real, mind boggling that someone could commit such crimes to a new (or any) car. I remember Street Machine had a news front item on it, and I'm sure that it was only 6 months or so after the monaro was released. I'm thinking a company called "Monkey Warehouse" had something to do with it, as they make all sorts of inane fiberglass items to stick on your commodore, truly a disgrace.

^ Actually in fairness to the corolla, it just punched a hole through a double brick wall and still looks sought of drive-able.
