Hi,
I have a Manual LS Focus CL and the Engine Warning Light has come on. I have done about 22,000kms and the car still seems to be running smoothly. I have booked the car in for somebody to have a look at it, but was just wondering whether anybody on here has had anything similar happen with their car. I am using 95 Unleaded primarily with a bit of 98, have had the car starting issue a few times, but nothing recently. Any recommendations/advice would be appreciated. Cheers

Sounds like the throttle position sensor. A few other members have needed their's changed. Does it happen at startup onward or only after driving for a little while.

If it drives ok just remove the lamp so it wont bother you again...
joking ha ha The starting problems may be the fuel pickup in the tank which is a very common problem on the Focus - when I say problem I mean 'feature' Mine does it whenever I park it nose up anywhere, have to crank it over and over before it starts. |

The engine warning light switched on in our Focus a few days ago, stayed on all night (we were ages from home) and then was off the next morning. We'll be getting ours looked it soon for a range of issues.

Well it's being repaired today, they are putting a new EGR valve in. If anybody wants any more info on what this is, I've found this site...
