I've been looking around the RTA website for information on transferring a boat trailer from another state to NSW, and can't find anything apart from car rego's.
Has anyone done this and can help me out? It's a trailer with brakes on it registered in QLD on someone else's name. (I bought it from them). |

same info will apply. You will need to treat it as a new registration

Blue slip required and new VIN if it doesnt have one already. Most likely will also need weighbridge ticket, which is an PITA with a boat trailer

But if it's under 250kg, you will have pretty cheap rego fees every year. Once it gets above, then price goes up quite a bit (as the weight of the trailer then gets used to calculate the rego, bit like a car). |
