Hello all,
I have just bought a really nice, one elderly owner EB GLi in immaculate condition except that the front has been remodelled by a power pole. It has only done 124,000km and the interior is the nicest EB2/ED interior that I have seen since my EB was new. The car has a sun visor, weathershields (painted black on the top) and a rear louvre so the interior has never seen direct sunlight. The Everglade paint on the car is also pristine so I think the car has been garaged all it's life too. This is not a for sale/EOI post but merely a what would it be worth type post. The interior is no good to me as I already have a Fairlane Ghia interior in my car so the only parts that will improve my interior are the steering wheel and the console lid. Now would I be better off selling this interior (what would it be worth?), placing it in storage and possibly returning my EB to stock one day or purchasing another EB with a ratty interior (I have found one of those) and doing it up a bit? Thanks, Jim... |

IMO, even being immac, you'd be lucky to get $200 for a gli interior.
As for the rest of the car, if you sold it complete, being smashed, I'd say up to $600 or so.

I won't be selling the whole car as my wagon's engine is dying a slow death. Can't complain though it's done 489,000 it's head gasket was last done at 140,000 (are they programmed to last 140,000?)

I had an ED Gli Interior, which I replaced with a Fairlane Ghia one when the car only had 63,000k's on it.
It was immac, and I couldn't give it away...

And I mean extremely lucky. Some guy with an EA falcon might pick it up for $50 but fairmonts are almost as cheap now.

I am coming down to Vic in 3 weeks but for $50 the seats are staying in my shed just in case I want to put my wagon back to standard and immaculate.
Hence the original question so the answer seems to be keep them. |
