Perhaps you should be keeping this information to yourself. This is not the sort of thing that should be discussed here.

Ford will know that it has been sold through the new owner notifying Ford that they are the new owner for warranty purposes.

If it is on paper and you have signed it you can bet your that Ford will follow through with it.

You bought a brand new xr6 very cheap and you now want to sell it ? Why just keep it ,have fun and sell it in six months .Didn't think the BFs where that bad that you want to sell it the day after you bought it

I think you should be right as long as it's a one off. Im sure that rule is there mainly to stop people buying and reselling continuosly to make money.

They are probably limited to something like one a year so that would effectively keep them from reselling them.

What does Ford's policy say the repurcussions are if you sell it within 6 months Blake? Does it say you can sell it early with the approval of management?

ford were good enough to give you a good car at an awesome price don't be greedy besides as soon as the new owner transfers the warranty ford will know and make you pay the balance as you shold do. also it is bad form to be asking on the forum if it is ok to defraud Ford ( trying to sell it early and get away with out telling Ford in order to not have to repay the subsidy is fraud after all). drive it and enjoy.

Agreed, it is a privledge to those who are able to get it and if abused I dont think Ford would hesitate in doing something about it

Alot of you guys are carrying on like its the end of the world... Since your no longer an employee I don't see how they could stop you selling the car, as for transferring warranty 99% of the nob jobs out there don't do it... If you were still working for them and you were planning on buying another vehicle at the discounted rate then it wouldn't be a smart thing to do, but in this case I don't see the issue, theres obviously an agreement in place but how they can prove either way and enforce it would come down to the legal jargon in it, and how much time and money they wanted to throw at chasing after you over it.

Also forgot to mention that it was my understanding employees within dealerships couldn't get Ford discounting, it was down to the dealerships discretion on how much discount you get (based on what they buy the car from Ford for)... Maybe I've got it wrong but if you can buy a car at Ford Staff pricing just by working in a dealership im suprised there aren't more dealership employees doing it..

I don't see the problem posting that Ford have an employee discount scheme or how much Ford employee discounts are. Good on Ford for giving something to their employees, to the Ford employees who can take advantage of this deal good luck to you. This sort of deal helps Ford create a positive image, maybe attract employees and might create a bit of pride for employees making and being able to drive the cars they make.
I wounldn't have though having to keep the car for more than 6 months though would be too much to ask for in return for the discount.
Good on Ford for having such a discount scheme!

Good on Ford for doing it, Other Don't.
Mate of mine is quite high up (Senior or Manager) in the Electronics Engeering Dept at Volvo in Sweeden, They have no employee discount scheme at all, Through out the whole company.
Unless you have a company car, deal is, you want to buy one, Go see a dealer and pay what everyone else does.

I wish they would do what Holden have done and increase the discount to keep the numbers up. I've heard they are offering upto a 40% discount on an SS. I can't see why Ford should not follow suit as an incentive to help clear stocks.
