Default hi guys, buying my first car

i moved to australia recently and need a good solid car to get me from a to b while being fuel effient at the same time. my price range is $500-$8000. i know asking an australian isn't the wisest due to your accents and "traditions" you stole from america but i live here now and id like to make new friends. also i may please myself because my wife no longer does but a nice car can show her that i still have it :

lastely i dont want to drive around and look like a white boy if you know what i mean, so please help me get a good solid car

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Hyundai Excel with a large spoiler and missing panels shouldn't give any stereotypes.

yep definetly gotta agree with the flow here, you should get a decent AU series III on LPG for about $7000, pretty reliable and dirt cheap to run without making the sacrifice of going to a small car.
