Default BA-BF sedan sat/nav and wiring loom

I am new to the blue oval.
Can anyone tell me where the sat nav system sits when fitted by the factory as a option? Also does the sat/nav have its own wiring loom running to the ICC? Probably stupid questions!

Apart from trying to find one of these units, I also need to know what I have to take with it so as it can be retrofitted into my car. I wish to keep it (the sat/nav) as original as I can. I can get the remote for the factory sat nav and would like to use it.

Thanks Craig

In the B-Series the DVD control unit sat under the rear parcel shelf or in the RH rear panel and yes it did have a wiring loom but it was a complete rear loom and not just a separate one - although I would think that you could grab that section from a wrecked one.

Note also that Ford listed different ICC/Radio modules for vehicles with and without SatNav.

Cheers
Russ

The Sat Nav needs Sat Nav additions to the RH Main Chassis Loom and the Dash Loom. The tail lights, parcel shelf speakers and park aid module are all part of the LH main loom, Sat Nav part of the right.

I believe at one point that ASL could sell you the wiring necessary to fit the factory Sat Nav without needing the factory looms to any ICC with colour screen. Finding factory looms from a wreckers is near impossible.
