Not much point of it being on the back window if someone is holding him up in the right lane...

This. Pasting a mirrored version of that on his front windscreen (as a banner across the top) would help get the message across

Still valid for those times when you overtake on the left and after you do they then change into the left lane

Have seen that Hilux around Penrith a number of times.
And have seen that sticker on a number of other vehicles as well. So it's not really new.

But after dealing with numpties on the M4 day-in day-out ... i find it's quicker to do the speed limit in the left lane (as no one is in it anyway) ... and pass the other traffic as they are going slower than the speed limit.

Hmmm....

"Car sticker gets people fired up about slow left hand lane drivers all over again"

Shouldn't the headline read....

"Car sticker gets people fired up about slow right hand lane drivers all over again" ???

Quote:
Earlier this month Sydney mum Lena Kasparian was fined $300 by NSW Police on the weekend for driving too slowly in a right-hand overtaking lane.
No wonder people don't get it

What is the expectation when it's peak hour and all lanes are full? There still seems to be a group of people who expect the right lane will part like the red sea because they want to go faster.
Yes.. traffic is going slowly.. it's peak hour.. we'd ALL like to be going faster.

There is a legit bunch of people who travel in the right hand land when they shouldn't, but there's also a bunch of people who are unreasonable. Overtaking but not overtaking fast enough according to the guy behind you?

Being passive aggressive would induce road rage, not the desired effect of said passive aggressive person.

Hell, I'd slow down more. Cause, you know, trolling and bait.

You guys living in cities want to hire a helicopter one morning for an hour during peak hour and watch what really happens.

It's like watching sheep heading off to the trough.
Next morning they all get out of bed to do it again. Ad infinitum.

Best thing I ever did was move out of those rat holes. (Cities)

Stickers like this are great and all, but it's assuming two very BIG things.

1) the person ahead even knows the rules;

2) (listen closely cause it's a doozy) they actually look in the mirrors!

More often then not if you watch the lane hogger ahead on an open road they never glance in the rear mirrors! If they do it's to check their make-up (yep talking about the girls too).

Exactly. Most of these people are oblivious to those around them. They are happy where they are and couldn't care less about you or I.

I'm back on the farm. Mostly retired now.

Plenty of employment opportunities in regional areas if work is a concern for you.

Used to work in television for a major network in my younger days.

We did the same thing 10 years ago, but mainly to be close to the wife's work. I still work in Adelaide and do the long haul each day. I catch the train though, so don't have to put up with all those idiots on the road each day. I drive the 25kms to the nearest train station and then sit and let someone else worry about the driving for the other 60kms

Takes me an hour and a half to get to and from work each day. Funny thing is, people in Sydney and Melbourne take just as long, but they're not 80+ kms out of the city like I am, nestled in Australia's premier wine region

A sceptic might think the 'keep left unless overtaking' rule is not readily enforced because it necessitates frustrated drivers to speed up, in order to resolve the issue themselves.

it's a myth that there is a 'fast lane'

especially in Australia where being shot out of a cannon is the punishment for 5 over.

We do need some sort of regulation for heavy vehicles.
I know these guys have a job to do, but in 3 and 4 lane situations, stay within lanes 1 and 2 would be great!

Yesterday I followed a BMW clown in the right hand lane from Springhurst to Euroa in Victoria. (90kms)
No one else on the superslab, just him in the fast lane approx. 300m in front of me in the left lane.
Never see the cops when you want to on the Hume. Happens all the time out here.
