Hey
I amm getting my exhaust made up for my EF TURBO.. Its off the turbo dump pipe, down to the CAT, then CAT out to the back of the car.. The thing is that I can get it made OVER the diff (stock path).. or get it made UNDER the diff.. But im not sure if it will be okay under the diff.. will it scrape? or hit the diff? I prefer to get it made under the diff, cheaper and easier to install, and it has to flow way better than the over the diff setup!.. BUT I dont want it scraping and rattling and all that shiiitt.. Would like to know if anyones done it, or any theories on it.. Thank you -jkk |

There was a member on here that had one.
it may have been EB 6 on boost. i recall he sold it to upgrade. clearance would be a major issue. personally i'd go over the diff to safe all those hassles.

check the height of ur diff as it is at the moment, see what actual clearance you have.
then consider you'll have 3" diametre pipe under it, with a gap to ensure the diff doesn't knock the exhaust.

Go over the diff, it really does not matter, just as long you have 3" dump pipe of the Turbo, high flow cat and 3" all the way through. You may require 1 muffler to quiet the thing down a bit.

Go over the diff, plenty of people are making power with the exhaust in the right spot.
Your mufflers will be the main cause of restriction anyway.

There was a guy named Kyle Hopf who fitted a 4" exhaust over the diff in an EA.
