Default v8 eb diff into ea, str8 fit?

Im bout to buy a 3:25 eb v8 fairmont diff, will it go str8 into my ea 6 without a hassle?

If you are fitting the whole diff i think (iirc) it should be a straight fit, since the control arms, springs, shocks, brakes etc replacement parts are all listed as fitting ea-ed.

All the V8's eb1 onwards has 28 spline axles (my eb1 V8 has 28 spline anyway), whereas the ea-eb1 6cyl had 25 spline vs eb2 onwards 28 spline. This means the guts won't swap (gears only) but i get the impression you mean the whole diff assembly.

it will fit but if it's a series 2 |EB diff you will need fatter (EB2 style) bushes pressed into the diff end of the lower constrol arms, or you can use metal pipe as a spacer.

I wouldn't recommend using spacers on the lower control arms...you'll get knocking sounds around corners. Getting ED bushes will only be about 100 bux from Pedders if you pull the arms out yourself.
