Are these designed to run on AU intechs, or are we talking just Ba's. The website only lays out info for BA owners.

There are intakes designed for AU and BA. They are easy to install and we are happy to provide instructions or recommend someone to fit it in SYD.
PM me if you want a contact in SYD. Regards, DAVE |

AU & BA
Merkus it's on my AU but I'm not in Sydney unfortunately so I can't help you there. I think G&D can mail order the CAI to you and as far as I know it's a simple fit. (mine was fitted for me) Edit: Awww dave you beat me to it lol.

Im interested in the intake but what sort of power loss should i be looking at in my forte with the full head light compared to the xr lights, which let air through the light?

looks like the pipe exiting the airbox is around 3" or larger (before the taper down to the original join) ? , has that got a pod in the airbox ?

ahh , that explains the original smaller taper size pipe going back to the 3" size on the airbox (to suit the pod).. cheers ;). I remember in your other thread reading about that original tapered pipe worked better than the full 3" untapered pipe , it didn't suprise me either - i can see the benifits of having a full 3" pipe from t/b to airbox if the pipe wasn't very long or if the pod was bolted straight onto the t/b, but in the case of the setup in our cars (with the I6) - the main pipe is way to long to be running just straight 3" pipe all the way imo unless you had maybe a v8 worked hard requiring mass amounts of cfm airflow which the taper would maybe restrict. But in the case of our I6's , it has been proven in the past in lots of cases to do with airflow ( not just in cars ) that tapering a long pipe can increase the airflow , as the smaller end of the pipe creates like a pressure that helps move the air toward the larger end of the pipe more freely (to the t/b in our case) - and not restricting the flow at the larger end of the pipe (@ the t/b) providing the smaller end of the pipe can supply the max air/cfm needed by the source. This sorta theory was used in those cyclone vacumes too .. just my 2 cents on the topic anyways.. there is probably a hell of a lot more to it im sure , and i'de like to know , but this is just a bit of an understanding of what i have on it ;) . cheers , looks good too Casper, nice and tidy and looks original , well done G&D too ;)
