Default speaker mounting

Does any one know what the maximum mounting depth for speakers in doors of an ef falcon.

Im looking at some 6-1/2 splits and they specs say the mounting depth is 70mm.

do you reckon they will fit.

where about in the door?
the greatest width would most likely be benieth the window handle.
Pull ypur door trip off and find out.

I had trouble fitting 6"s in my old XD cos alot of speaker magnets where to large.
once you get the door trip off and measure the depth, then you can go to the store and check the dimensions (found on the boxes) and go from there
hope this helps

if you are putting them in the factory holes i would of thought they would fit as the originals would be close to that depth.
Remove one of your existing speakers and take it with you to compare at the shop.

hey mate.. my speakers are 65mm deep and they just scrub the window.. so if ya wanted to fit the new speakers you would prob just need to run a small 6 mm mdf ring spacer pretty easy solution.. other issue is cuttin out the hole for the 6.5"..

Cheers,
Nik
