obviously you dont have the coolant level sender in your radiator overflow bottle... so the light will be on constantly....

IMO remove the globe from your cluster.....too much trouble to wire it up

I found in my fairlane, that the float in the coolent level sender didn't actually float anymore...
The float is a magnet encased in plastic, so I just cable tied the float up against the sender's magnet and the light went off.

Anyway, did the EA cluster go in easily? does the smartlock effect it? Is the oil pressure sender difficult to install?

I want a sports cluster for my ED, but the smartlock ones are always more expensive...

All the smartlock one has is a spot for you to clip in the LED. If you can't find one use a regular cluster and extend the wiring and mount the LED elsewhere.

what are you on steve! why would you need to know if you wiper fluid is low?

btw putting in the sensor is really eay you will need the coolant over flow bottle witha hole where the sensor goes and of coures the sensor the plug that connects to it is hidden under the overflow bottle itself tucked away plug it all up and you light will be acctually useful or you could do what i did and many others just remove the globe.

XR-6000 hit the nail on the head ........... I had exactly the same thing happen in my old EA when I put in the sports cluster ..... if the water level wasnt right in the washer bottle this light would appear ....... As too if the water level in the coolant bottle ........

I have the same light coming up on my ed 5L but it's straight after I start it up and I read some where that it could also be a temp sensor on the engine causing the car to go into limp home mode. I only have 1st and 2nd gear and to get it to change into second I have to back off the throttle and it changes any one ha this or heard of it
