Default My new VL!

Well guys in case you didnt already catch on or read the AU falcon area I didnt buy a VL, I bought Mal's AU Xr6 turbo. :

Its so awesome! I cant begin to describe how unreal this car is. It starts boosting as early as 2000rpm, there is barely any lag whatsoever and the turbo is bigger than my old one! :
It still has the new leather smell! Its got everything I could ever want! Sunroof, leather, big **** turbo !! :hihi:

260rwkw is a hell of a lot of fun but can be a handful. It lights the tires at 80km/h. Its auto too by the way. :hihi:

I still love the EB but its probably going to be parted out unfortunately, no-one likes as much as I do. The turbo gear will be sold seperately then ill sell the car, someone will buy it for the ghia gear I think and scrap the rest.

I took it for one last spin last night and it nearly threw me off the road on boost. I think it knows what my plans are for it. :

Anyways thats all I have to say for now. Ill still be hanging around at E series meets so dont even think of cancelling my membership out:

We need to have a calder meet soon! :

Ill get some new pics up tomorrow!

sweet as Dan! that AU looks awesome!! A VL really would have been a step backwards, there getting pretty old now and wouldnt handle anywhere near as good as the AU. cant wait to see it at a meet.

That thing is awesome, congratulations... must feel like a bit step up from the EB.

Is it much faster than the EB or are they pretty similar performance?

It is heaps faster. It spools up a lot earlier and the push in the back makes the EB pale in comparison.

I'm not gonna comment on it, coz you already know what I think, instead I'll make a facial expression much similar to your avatar. Congrats once again, that thing is sex on wheels!

Holy crap, that's a very nice purchase indeed. From a turbo EB to a turbo AU is a far step mathematically. Hope it all works out though; it is an awesome beast indeed!

Did Mal ever run it? I don't remember seeing it down the strip? It was always parked at Heathecote.

Congrats though, definitely a little envious here :

Nope its never been run, After driving it last night Im expecting very low 13's to high 12's out of it. Better with decent rubber. Traction through 1st gear is non existant.

Thats just insane. To spend all that cash on a car and to not get around to see what it can do almost defies logic.

Well atleast thats your job...lol..life so tough. Haha.

Im trying to think back, was traction control ever available on AU's? Seems like silly question but it could be an option.

Daaaaaamn! Nice new car to get!

I can't help but feel for your EB though, I remember on the GOR cruise you pulled away (at legal speed) unbelievably hard from Neb and myself... We just couldn't keep up :

Sold the EB yet? Surely someone here wants it, you aren't going to get into a turbo falcon any cheaper...

Yeah but VL's are sick. They're cheap as for how quick they are, and they're still very popular.

Like I said in the other thread Dan, and like how many other times, you bastard haha.

Top marks to HOTDBZ for making a fantastic car!
