Hi everyone,
Just a random topic here, back in 2002 when I bought my AU S'Pack I was actually searching for an XLS ute, but only having two seats it was detering me a fair bit, then I came across the S-Pack and fell in love. Besides chances where I needed the extra seats over the tray. But these days I hate nothing more than popping into bunnings, picking up what I need and saying "will it fit in the car?". Now ford made the R5 prototype which if you ask me looked odd. So i've put together what ford should have made. I really do hope that ford venture into this area of the market, the courier & ranger just don't seem to cut it.

Looks good, but i don't think theirs a big enough market for Ford to start making them.

There have been 2 other AU utes that have been made into dualcabs ... one of them was an XR from memory ... but photos were a little sketchy.

The thing that I don't like with the custom crew cabs running around is that they don't look like a ute at all. In the way that a hilux looks like a hilux no matter how many doors it has. The crewman looks terrible, as if they chopped a wagon, chucked on a tub and then drove a bus up it's back side.
I would happily own something like what i've posted because it's still on a ute chassis/wheel base, just a shortened tray.

I think this would be a great idea. I drive a ute as when going to the hardware or tip I like to just throwing everything in the back (plus I love the look of them). And to have the convience of a sedan up front would be great.
