Default problem with the ef

hey guys driving the ef for 3 mins and came to a stop turned ignition off.
Then got back in car turned the key and it would not start it is a 5 speed by the way. car is full of petrol and the battery is fully charged checked all fuses and they are fine all leads are on fine all connections to motor i.e cam angle sensor isc solenoid etc... are fine dont know if its the starter motor or not but i dont think so as the car still cranks the power windows dont work however and neither does the smartlock remote or the interior lighting everything else works and u have to lock the car with the key it is sitting some 10 minutes away from my house and want to get it going asap
one thing i did notice though is that in normal conditions when u start it u would hear a tick after the fuel pump sound but now u dont hear this so maybe its the fuel pump im guessing????? i even tried to push start the car as this works if ur starter motor is fukd but no avial which leads me more into thinking that it is the fuel pump. What do you guys rekon it is and if it is the fuel ump how do i go about checking it or if need be replacing it as i have an ed one at home they are the same i think. thanks

Sounds like what happened to mine when the pump went. Either that or check the relays/fuses that sit in the engine bay up near the radiator bottle.

its the interior light fuse.
it controls the BEM and thus smartlock, power windows etc etc.
with no smartlock, u've got no starting.
i think its a 10amp fuse.

i've had to replace one before on 2 cars.

if it sparked and the fuse blew you have a problem somewhere you need to fix it before you can use your car :p any dodgy headunit wiring?? the green yellow wire is the constant battery power wire for the headunits.

If you have back passenger interior lights (little ones) pul them totally out as they may be shorting the interior light circuitry. The interior light from memory is a 20 amp ,yellow fuse.Double check my rating but most cars have 20 amp fuse.If that blows you have a short.

Next time, could you structure your post so we can read it?

I suggest going back to your original post and look at how you've written it, then go bang your head against a door :P

seems the question was answered and fixed.
thus further posts on the initial post were really not needed?

Like it matters Yagz, you come in here, and instead of helping have a whine about his grammar.... Surely you have something better to do?

It is no wonder people on here give you crap Yagz. There was a period of time I felt sorry for you, those times are long gone.

Your rude and nasty and deserve every bit of crap that’s laid on you.
When you come to terms with the fact you’re a no body and not the some body you make yourself out to be, you might be a HALF decent person.
