I had the plesure of driving an EL with 42,000kms on it!
I have never driven anything like this before. Not a single rattle, noise or anything. It was a GLi. Anway I normaly spend most of my time with BA-BFs and lets just say that they dont make them like they used to. |

Build quality, internal noise.
When you drive a BA-BF you often get knocking noises ect. This had no noises what so ever. Even though I dont give the cars a hard time (unless req) it didnt go as well as a BA-BF (of course). The door trims on BA-BF are held in by crappy clips, while the EL trims are held on by 10 or so screws. Man I want this car! I am sorry, but it is hard to describe, its more of a feeling. |

I drove a EL Fairmont V8 with 50k on it a few months back and boy that was a nice piece of work, it really was, it felt better than some of the near new BA's and all of the VX's ive driven.

Another car I saw was an ED XR6 with 55,000k on it. He was selling it. He wanted 13k for it. It was an auto with low series sound. The reason he was selling it was the blokes wife wanted a new car!
